Back in August, I had a chance to visit St. Jude with the Mid-South Cartoonists Association and draw with the kids there. I met one kid (who I discovered was nicknamed Monte, accent over the "e", same as my best friend growing up) who said he hadn't drawn before in his life, "not really." So, I asked if he wanted to learn to draw and he was game. You can see the results as we went step-by-step to draw Charlie Brown, Mickey Mouse, and Muley the Mule. He's an awesome 14 year old-ish kid, and my best wishes are with him.
