Tasting/Unboxing French's Creamy Mustard Line

A new line of mustard has been released by French's, a McCormick seasoning company.

Overall, the flavors are delicious, but the yellow mustard is very muted without that tart, tangy vinegar-y flavor they've been known for.

Check out the video and the photos below:

NOT Robert Johnson - The Fake Internet Photos

I wrote a letter to Robert Johnson's stepsister, Ms. Anderson, who, at this writing, is 96 years old and is author of the great book Brother RobertIn that letter, I added a bunch of photos that circulate on the internet to get her opinion of them.

Are these photos Robert Johnson?  She stated, "There's only three known photos of Brother Robert left: the Hooks Brothers portrait, the photo booth portrait with the cigarette, and the photo I have which is on the cover of my book."

Photos shared are not copyrighted by me and you can look all that up on the internet.

There was one man who met with Robert's sister, Carrie, and took with him for a biography that never was written a photo of Robert Johnson with his nephew who was wearing a sailor uniform, it has since disappeared.  There may be a 5th photo according to one account; but, I don't have those details yet.

Robert Johnson has been claimed to be in the following photos and video screen captures; but, they are not him.  Either blues contemporaries have said it is not him, or bluesologists, people who claim to have known him.  Most importantly, his own sister has said, "These are definitely not him."

Nope.  Not Robert Johnson or the others listed.

Robert Johnson would have been about 5'10" tall by some accounts.

This guy is not Robert Johnson - the poster in the rear is from a movie in 1941, years after Johnson's death.  Plus, this guy isn't as sharp a dresser as Johnson would have been in public.

Once I have more information about some of these photos, I'll share that here.

Muley Reads: Click Clack Moo, Cows That Type

Sometimes, we have disputes or misunderstandings that need some compromise.  If we can figure how to compromise quickly, our problems could be over before they start.  I bet it would help if we think ahead of things and make sure that people, especially those who help us, have what they need to continue to help us comfortably.  Compromise can end a problem quickly.

That's what Farmer Brown learns when the cows and other farm animals have needs in the book 'Click Clack Moo, Cows That Type.'

ToughPigs.com - The Great Muppet Mural

I LOVE doing a collaboration with people!  It can be so much fun to share ideas and build something HUGE together.

When given an opportunity to participate in The Great Muppet Mural, I couldn't say no.  It would be a HUGE undertaking for several artist friends who I admire, and would celebrate the 20th anniversary of the fansite ToughPigs.com with art direction by James Carroll, Kenny Durkin, and Dave Hulteen, Jr.

Dave even created a three-part documentary that will be put together as one whole film soon (links below)!

The art directors got to take place in the mural, as did 72 other artists creating 270 characters in the mural.  You can learn all about the artists HERE, HERE, and HERE.  Don't forget to visit the bottom of the ToughPigs story about the mural where you can find an artist/character key!

My three assigned characters were Sesame Street's The Amazing Mumford (and a bunny that is well-loved by Animal from The Muppet Show), Zoe and her pet Rocco, and Hup from The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.  Getting a great classic character such as Mumford was a blast, and of course we love Zoe.  It was a bit of a fright to get Hup as I always stink at doing Creature Shop characters, especially new ones, but after a little research on the design I feel I caught him well in my style.

Here, I've compiled my three characters onto the 70s set of Sesame Street because - well, why not?

Ice Storm 2022 - February 3, 2022

Overnight, the news discussed how cold it would get, and that with rain and cold we'd see ice.  Then, we learned we'd have freezing rain and sleet.  And it came to us!

I'm reminded of the Ice Story of 1994 when I was in college at Northwest Mississippi Community College in Senatobia, MS.  The freezing rain and sleet felt just exactly how that all began!  The roads are slushy today, ice settling on trees are already causing branches to fall and trees to tumble.  Friends are already losing power with transformers exploding around them.  All day today, I've heard firetruck and ambulance sirens!

Here are a few items from today.

The streets are slushy and are going to freeze up! If you're at work, go home. If they won't let you go home: SHOW THEM THIS and tell them, "Muley says to."
