Memphis Comics Expo 9/24/2022 - Fozzie!

Celebrating Jim Henson's birthday on September 24, 2022, the same day as Memphis Comics Expo, I dressed in my green Jim Henson Boyhood Museum t-shirt, topped off by a Kermit cap, and my Kermit limited edition Reeboks.  But, I took my Fozzie Bear replica along with me who, in the spirit of cosplay, was dressed in a Superman t-shirt and cape!

Several folks who know him asked where Muley was (at home, by the way, doing some writing, or drawing).  Still, there were some great smiling faces when they saw Fozzie.

I went with Martheus and Anakin Wade, Janet Wade's sister Sharon Dumer and her two kids Mara and Aayla, and of course Fozzie.  See the episode of Wade's World below at the 16 minute mark for Martheus' interview with Fozzie.

The event was a lot of fun, and our guests were inspirational to the crowds of kids and their families who attended where you could learn martial arts from Taimak or pop-n-lock dancing from Shabadoo!

The Evolution Pop Culture Community Summit - 3/10/2018

The Evolution Pop Culture Community Summit

featuring Actor, Producer, Director - Robert Townsend (Meteor Man, Five Heartbeats, Hollywood Shuffle, B.A.P.S. etc.) will be hosted by Heal the Hood Foundation of Memphis and MAW Productions. The Summit will feature comic book story telling classes, a Community Summit with a Q&A session discussing African American Heroes, Meteor Man, Black Panther, social and economic empowerment, Meet and Greet opportunities and many more surprises. 

There will be live entertainment, autograph signing, and a huge opportunity to connect youth and adults in a growing culture of minority heroes. This exciting event gives you a in-depth experience with the first African American Super Hero to appear on the silver screen as well about powerful artists, writers, storytellers and visual effects experts. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and it is absolutely FREE. Please RSVP to reserve your spot.  In addition to the Summit, we will have a Comic Book Storytelling class for 40 students that are interested in a massive opportunity to see how it's done first hand.
