Muley the Mule, Buford the Dog, Roy Duck, and Missy Mule visited First Congregational Church of Memphis on December 17, 2023, to talk about being the hope for the future, and that when worries arise kids can go to their grown-ups for help.

Jeghetto at the Memphis Public Library - 12/10/2022

As a puppeteer, I rarely get a chance to see puppet shows.  My friend Drew contacted me to let me know that "Jeghetto" Tarish Pipkins was coming to town!  I first learned about him through the Puppeteers of America "The Puppetry Journal" and was so excited to see him perform!  It was so much fun, and if Jeghetto is in your area, PLEASE go see him.

Around another corner of the library was a section dedicated to an exhibition titled "Evicted."  I'm too much of a sentimental softy, I suppose, and facing the reality of poverty and how it effects families was a bit too much, so I didn't stay long, but want you to zoom in on the image of the boxes.  That's a lot of numbers of homelessness in the United States due to evictions.

Superman Celebration - 2019!

It's that time of year again, gang!!

We all head from our home town to our other home town, Metropolis, IL, for the fabulous Superman Celebration!!  It's a great time because we get to visit with other fans of comics and movies, and so many of these people are like family now - so it's a special kind of reunion!

You can see the Muley the Mule and Friends Show LIVE! for three days, Joan and Muley will co-host the kids' costume contest, Martheus Wade and Kevin Williams will be holding drawing discussions, and Kev will have two puppet-making workshops that are always loaded with people and fun!

Jim Henson Imagination Unlimited Exhibition at The MAX 4/13/2019

I was invited down to meet Karen Falk when she made an appearance at the Jim Henson Boyhood Museum to discuss the archives, the legacy, and exhibit of Jim Henson.  It was so inspiring and fun to visit the Jim Henson Exhibition: Imagination Unlimited

I hope these photos are fun and help you feel like you were there, too!

It was a great building with a good focus on Jim Henson, including a closet-sized area permanently displaying Mahna-Mahna and the Snowths.  In the exhibit itself, though, you can see how the club Cyclia would have looked.  You could design an Anything Muppet or see how it would look to perform a Muppet by watching a TV monitor (there was an immediate play-back of your experience there).
