"Rubber Duckie" - the Original Alan Jay Clarolyte Toy

Mostly made famous by Ernie's song on Sesame Street (see below), this rubber ducky, or as Ernie calls him, "Rubber Duckie," was created by Alan Jay Clarolyte in 1954 (per an advertisement a friend posted on farcebook).

These are photos of the one I have in my collection.  There are cleaner ones out in the world, without scratches; but, I got what I could find!  And, I love him.

Muley Reads: Oscar's Half Birthday

Baby Oscar is only 6 months old, and nobody can stand to wait until the year passes so why not do a half-birthday!? Hey, who cares when you celebrate a birthday, as long as there's cake! While watching together, can you make the sounds you read about (the train, wind, cars, and more)? Can you sing along with everyone's birthday wish for Oscar? When is your birthday, and what do you hope to do to celebrate?

Feb 19 - Firstly, we celebrate our pal Martheus Wade's birthday!

We woke, and I stepped outside to knock down the icicles from the house...

...upon exiting, I found DaMarco Randle digging out the driveway.  That's when he asked, "Do you want to build a snowman?"  I can't resist something fun, and he art directed us through creating Olaf from "Frozen."

It was even featured at Action News 5's website!
